1. Problem

For trainers and gym staff, even simple tasks like finding a client or scheduling a session required too many clicks. This slowed down daily work and made the system feel heavy instead of helpful.

2. Solution

I set out to streamline the experience by reducing steps for frequent actions and surfacing them across the system. My goal was to make the ERP faster, clearer, and more intuitive so trainers could focus on their clients rather than the software.

3. Research

I studied several ERP platforms in the fitness and service industries to see how they structure navigation and customer management. I also conducted interviews with gym staff, which confirmed that searching for clients and adding new customers were the most common and time-sensitive tasks. These insights shaped the decision to make search and the “+” button globally accessible in the navigation.

4. Prototype Development

Wireframes tested how global search and quick-add could cut steps across all pages. High-fidelity prototypes were created for both web and iOS, using Tailwind for web and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines for mobile. From Tailwind, I collected and refined a UI kit with master components such as tables, forms, navigation, and buttons, ensuring consistency and scalability.

5. Outcome

The redesigned ERP makes frequent actions quick and accessible. Trainers can now search or add customers from anywhere, while customer pages provide clear views with direct access to scheduling, freezing, or removing clients. With streamlined navigation and a consistent Tailwind-based UI, the system feels faster, more intuitive, and better suited to the daily needs of gym staff.
